TechniqalGroup MCS ("we", "us", or "our") operates the SANAOL mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the App.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you register, we collect your name, email address, and profile photo. If you sign in through a third-party provider (Google, Facebook, Apple), we receive the basic profile information permitted by that provider.

Location data. With your explicit permission, the App collects your precise location to display you on the interactive map, show nearby users and points of interest, and optionally attach a location to posts you create. You can revoke location access at any time through your device settings or in-app privacy controls.

User-generated content. We store the posts, comments, reactions, photos, and videos you create, including associated metadata (timestamps, visibility settings).

Device & usage data. We automatically collect device identifiers, operating system version, app version, crash logs, and general usage analytics to maintain and improve the App.

Push notification tokens. If you enable notifications, we collect your device push token to deliver alerts about post updates and messages.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and operate the App's core features (map, posts, messaging, notifications).
• Display your presence on the map according to your chosen privacy level.
• Process and optimize uploaded media (image compression, video transcoding, thumbnail generation).
• Authenticate your identity and secure your account.
• Send transactional notifications (e.g., post published, processing complete).
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and policy violations.
• Improve and troubleshoot the App through aggregated, anonymized analytics.

3. Your Privacy Controls

The App offers granular privacy settings you can adjust at any time:

• Anonymous mode — browse the map without revealing your identity.
• Location privacy — share your live location with everyone, followers only, mutuals only, or no one.
• Username & email visibility — control who can see your username and email (public, followers, mutuals, or private).
• Post visibility — set each post to public, followers, mutuals, or private.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information only in these circumstances:

• With other users — your profile, posts, and location are visible according to your privacy settings.
• Service providers — we use trusted third parties for hosting, media processing, push notifications, and analytics. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.
• Legal obligations — we may disclose data when required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data and user-generated content within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), secure token-based authentication, and access controls. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. Third-Party Services

The App may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services (e.g., Mapbox for maps, Facebook SDK for authentication). These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice in the App or by other means. Your continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
